My Scrapbooking for 2012:
I said earlier I would discuss where I want my scrapbooking and memory keeping to go in 2012; so let’s do that! I am doing a lot (lot) less scrapbooking these days since I just don’t have the time and the time I do I have I would rather be working on my Project Life books.

Also, I have been doing lots of research on digital scrapbooking and I think I may dabble and try to much more digital products in the coming months. I think digital may be much faster, cost effective and what I need right now. I have also ordered Adobe Photoshop Elements and purchased several things on Designer Digitals. I can’t wait to get started!!

Here are my tools for memory keeping this coming year:

1. Project Life Cobalt Edition for the Family
4. Adobe Photoshop Elements
5. Lots more Shutterfly Books

What are YOUR memory keeping tools?

Thanks for sticking around and reading this post!

Log your Memory Tidbits

Hello!! The work week is almost over so the weekend scrapping is almost here yeah!! I am filling out my Project 365 life cards and my Log your Memory is coming in handy. Its actually making it so I remember each and every day like they just happened!! And I thought I would share a few tidbits of my daily life!!

Here are the pictures and journaling that I am SO GLAD I captured!!

*** I love that I was able to document a moment that was so precious and showed my son's smarts. He took a cup of water and promptly walked over to the sink and poured out the water ever-so-gently. It was like he had been doing it 100 times, but this was only his first time! ***

*** This day- Jan 21st- was the first time I had to call in at my job due to my son being sick with yucky BMs. :) Sorry if too much detail!! Overall, he was fine but just not acting normal (it turned out to be eating too many oranges). We had an action-packed day together (but thats the norm with my son) and we did all kinds of stuff! I love that I was able to document my explaining to him that when we go into Safeway, to get his veggie pouches, there will be NO screaming for them. I told him he has to wait until we are done buying them! And the talk with him worked!! ***

*** I love that I was able to document a conversation between my son and I that was utterly priceless and a real milestone is his ability to comprehend and talk in a conversation. He slid down the slide on his tummy and I told him "You probably shouldn't do that because it's not safe." He responded by saying "Bad dog" (this is what I USE to tell our dog Lulu). The VERY NEXT DAY he ran down the hallway butt naked because he didn't want to get dressed. I caught him and he responded by saying "Bad dop no no Bad baby" He called himself a bad baby!! I had to stifle my laughter!!! Luckily, three weeks later we have stopped saying bad dog AND bad baby! :) ***

I hope you enjoy those little tidbits of my life!! And I am SO EXCITED for this week's challenge (it's #8). It's document an object you LOVE!! And I am doing my IPHONE of course!!

Log your Memory

To help with PROJECT LIFE I am using the awesome, fabulous LOG YOUR MEMORY calendar. I love all the space to write, the weekly challenges, the ideas for pictures and at-a-glance calendars. Its definitely worth checking out!! (and if you do purchase let them know i referred you :) )

Every week I get a weekly wrap up newsletter and I wanted to share a few of their ideas.

One- Capture to a picture of yourself. I captured me AND my outfit in a clever way (I think).

Two- Snap a picture of some receipts. I ran a ton of errands on this day and didn't take any pictures at the store. So, instead I took a picture of ALL the receipts

Three- Capture a picture of your weather.

Four- This was Becky Higgins's idea. To take a screen shot (or hold your camera up to the computer) and capture your neighborhood. I used my local scrapbook store for this example.

Its a New Year

One of the challenges I always participate in at sb.com is Monthly Sketch Challenge. The first week's sketch (from PageMaps.com) had the TWIST of scrapping your resolutions!!

I also did this layout for the ONE WORD Challenge on sb.com where we use Ali Edwards concept of choosing one word to represent this year.

My WORD is STRIVE!! The main things I want to STRIVE for is documenting my everyday life through my LOG YOUR MEMORY journal, keep up with Project Life and be the best mother/wife I can be!

here is my journal! I will post more pictures later on.

Here is my layout!
