My Top 11 Layouts of 2011

Hi again!! I couldn’t narrow down to 10 so I am doing 11! I picked from the layouts that aren’t currently out for publication with Scrapbooks News and Review. 

In no particular order here they are:

My Scrapbooking for 2012:

I said earlier I would discuss where I want my scrapbooking and memory keeping to go in 2012; so let’s do that! I am doing a lot (lot) less scrapbooking these days since I just don’t have the time and the time I do I have I would rather be working on my Project Life books. 

Also, I have been doing lots of research on digital scrapbooking and I think I may dabble and try to much more digital products in the coming months. I think digital may be much faster, cost effective and what I need right now. I have also ordered Adobe Photoshop Elements and purchased several things on Designer Digitals. I can’t wait to get started!!

Scrapbook News and Review

The Final Issue for 2011 is available right now is full of ideas like scrapbooking grandparents, hidden journaling, fall ideas, using your office supplies and oodles more!!

AND the calls of JANUARY 2012 came out!!! YEAH!! It’s the perfect ‘excuse’ to get some me time to scrap the day away!

Being Us/Our Love/Love Story: It may be cold outside but love is in the air around here! Please submit stories that relate to love, being in a relationship, or a love story that has touched your heart.

 

Funny Faces: We all make them and it’s always an extra special coup when we capture them in a photo. Now let’s get them onto our layouts. Pages can be about any subject or topic but must feature a funny face or a bunch of great facial expressions!

 

CARDS/Stamping

Favorite Movie: We all have one or two that just makes our heart go pitty-pat or set our creative spirits soaring, and we want to see your take on your favorite movie, whether it’s the actual movie poster, the title or the theme. It’s a free for all. The only requirement is to have fun.

Digital

Family Game Night: It's too cold outside, so it's the perfect time for a little friendly family competition. This call is for layouts all about your family game night.

Nuts about Sketches

The latest sketch, Week 189, came out yesterday and it is a fabulous sketch. 

I used photos from our snow trip in February. I also did some cluster embellishing with the snowflakes and die cut flourishes. It was a lot of fun to make!

Scrapbook News and Review

Hello!! Just a quick post to say the EK HALLOWEEN projects have been posted on SCRAPBOOK NEWS AND REVIEW!!!! So exciting!

This was my first event and I was a little nervous since I didn’t know if I had enough pictures to make several projects, but, thankfully, I have awesome friends who gave me pictures to scrap!!

And let me tell you the versatility of EK products is endless! There are so many different options on what to create!! And little scrapbooker me did a CANVAS! Gasp! I never doing anything altered or mixed media so I was pretty proud of myself!

Exciting News

Just stopping by to share my BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Last Friday, I received a very surprising email from Dan Koch over at Scrapbook News and Review. After a few days of emails back and forth it was CONFIRMED I would be added as a STAFFER!!!!

I am so honored and flattened that my work is being noticed and that is got the attention of SNR!!!

I will be working on the Scrapbook Calls for October/November (travel/vacation, grandparents, fall/Thanksgiving, Handmade Embellishments, Hidden Journaling, Pockets & Tags, Strut Your Stuff, Scrap Your Stash: Office Supplies, One Word: Miracle and Strong). I look forward to the coming  months and ALL the exciting things in store!!
