Daddy Days

That’s what I call it when my husband is off for three days in a row. He works a 12 to 14 shift for three days in a row and then three days off in a row. It makes for long days with my son BUT action packed days we he off.

And somehow I wind up taking a BILLION photos! Yesterday wasn’t as busy but I did take 75 pictures. And today I took over 200! (I do take a ton of doubles and triples of the same photo just in case they don’t come out). I guess I just have a deep desire to capture the here and now. Preserving the everyday is really important to me.

We started the day by having pancakes and dancing to Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Baby.”

 

Then we headed up to Placerville to visit the Gold Bug Mine Center. Its the perfect summer activity since its underground and super cool!

-->we were given a 'telephone' to guide us through the tunnel and the different information spots. My son kept trying to take Daddys and then wanted his hat as well (since Daddy was over 5'2 he had to wear a hard hat)

AND THEN after ALL this fun we went to dinner later on to celebrate Oma's birthday (my husband's Mom). She is turning the big 60 and retiring!

WHEW! what a busy busy day! And I manged to scrap a layout LOL!
